Our football team won their round in the KENWAY CUP this week! Amazing work from them. Now, they progress on to the finals to play for the cup against the Beaminster pyramid winners.
UPDATE... We won! The team brought back the cup for another year. Awesome work, BPS!
What a week for football it has been at BPS!
Our newly-formed girls' team travelled to Weymouth to play a tournament.... and won!
Our mixed team went all the way to Bournemouth to play in the COUNTY FINALS; they got to the semi-finals!
We could not be more proud of all our players- they showed grit, determination and good sportsmanlike behaviour. Thank you for representing BPS!
Well done to all our children who participated in the Quickstix Hockey Tournament! They were fantastic AND reached the semi-final (the only goal they conceded in their games was in the final). We are all so proud of them!
BPS always enjoys fundraising for Children In Need. We participated in a variety of activities throughout the day, from designing Pudsey t-shirts to playing games.
Today, we were delighted to welcome Ember (the reading dog) and her owner Liz. Ember met several of the year groups and will return before Christmas to meet the rest of the school. We look forward to Ember visiting on a regular basis so that children can enjoy reading to her and spending time with a canine companion.
Liz and Ember were very impressed with our consideration and thoughtful questions. We discovered that Ember doesn't really enjoy playing ball because she won't bring it back, she likes all food (but mostly tasty treats), she is 11 years old, but she still likes to chase cats!
On Friday, years 4 and 5 visited Bridport Arts Centre for a talk by author Maz Evans. The children were incredibly enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Our year fours and fives had a grand finale to their topic: 1066 Day. They enjoyed dressing up and participating in a range of learning activities.
Our year six children shared their phenomenal learning with their parents. It was a joy to see their projects, dances and World War Two learning experiences.
We are so proud of our tag rugby team for their excellent efforts on Saturday. On this beautiful sunny morning, the team worked extremely well together, holding their own against the other primary schools.

This week, we celebrated Hello Yellow Day.
We were fortunate to have Wessex Water team up with the edible garden crew for a brilliant community event this week.
Each half term, a different class participates in forest schools. This week it was first aid for y4 and 5- a very valuable life skill!
