Friends of Bridport Primary School
Welcome to the Friends of Bridport Primary School Web page!
The Friends of Bridport Primary School (FoBPS) are parents and teachers who want to help the children of BPS to have as enriched and rewarding a school experience as possible. We come together to create a community that organises events to raise money for valuable activities and resources that the school’s budget cannot provide and that are not funded from other means.
We are always welcoming new friends so come and get involved! Click on our pages to view upcoming events and fundraising efforts.
Christmas Market Friday 1st December 2023, 6pm – 8pm
We need around 30 volunteers for this event as it is our biggest of the school calendar; if you can help with the Christmas market, please contact the Friends email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. Just an hour of your time would be an enormous help, Thank you.
We need help with:
• Setting up the market on Friday 1st December (3pm until 6pm)
• Help running a stall or sell refreshments at the market (6pm – 8pm)
• Help clearing up after the market (8pm til 9pm)
The FOBPS Committee:

Vice Chairperson - Amy Cox (Mum to children in Year 2 and Year 1) – a new committee member, following on from helping at several events last year.
Treasurer - Jacky Horniblow (Mum to a Year 5 child)
Secretary - Laura Walter (Mum to children in Year 1 and Year 4)
Our new communication group sits within WhatsApp. If you think you can spare a little time to help the PTA every now and then, please email us at email@example.com. We will add you to the WhatsApp group, where we can put a shout-out when we need help!
Alternatively, we still have the communication links below; handy for reminders of events such as discos, uniform sales, cake sales and the summer event, with some parents using email as their preferred mode of communication when help is requested.
Other ways of supporting FOBPS
Please collect used ink cartridges and put them in our recycle bin situated in the school office. ‘Empties Please’ will then collect the bin when it is full and donate the money raised straight back to FOBPS with a certificate to display in our reception area. Click the logo to view what empty ink cartridges that can be recycled.
Stickins provide good quality, clear labels for your child’s belongings. FOBPS will earn 30% commission if you order your name labels from Label Planet, and you will also get FREE DELIVERY. Enter the school ID 2709 before you order.

New to You Sales
We hold stock of items such as grey/black skirts, dresses, trousers and shorts, and green jumpers or cardigans for sale at bargain prices (£1 per item). Our sales are held outside the school main office from 3pm on the last Monday of each half-term (confirmed in social media and newsletters prior to each sale).
Please consider donating any good quality used uniform to the New to You stock. We are particularly short of the larger sizes. Simply deliver to the school office. We accept grey/black skirts/trousers/shorts/dresses, summer dresses, green jumpers, cardigans, and PE hoodies. NO shoes, bags, coats, white polo shirts or underwear(!), thank you (these are rarely asked for and take a lot of room in our small storage area).
